2006 Mazda 5 Grand Touring
Hello,

I'm new to the forum. I just bought my first Mazda. It is a 2006 Mazda 5 Grand Touring. It has a DVD player that is ceiling mounted. I'm not sure if this was a Mazda option or an after-market install. It has a couple of remotes and 2 sets of headphones. The DVD player itself has an option to output to speakers but I can't figure out how to get the audio switched to the DVD player. Pushing the Media and Sat buttons seems to have no impact whatsoever. I have my doubts that if someone would go to the trouble to have this installed they wouldn't connect the audio somehow to the speakers.

Is there something else I should be trying to switch it?

I also have the same DVD player, but I haven't spent much time messing around with it. I am pretty sure its all done wirelessly over the air. It works like those crummy ipod hookups that require you tuning into a certain dead air station to broadcast the signal. If you don't have the manual let me know and I can figure it out/give you more detailed instructions.

ours uses an FM transmitter, when i start it up, it tells me the frequency. can't remember but is 89.? or something like that.
