Attention Houston And Surrounding Area Members!!!

As some of you have been watching the news....you have seen Tropical Storm Fay is pounding our area....but its NORTH of where I am .....its all over our local news....its pounding the coast...raining cats and dogs.....

HOWEVER....so far....other than it being cloudy here.....not a drop of rain....and the wind isn't even blowing much....so....there is still hope. I will post again Saturday morning on this....just in case any of you were thinking about heading dwon.

hey sir nuke, i was just watching the news (around 12ish) and they showed a map and the bay city area is just smothered with colors...i hope you're okay as well as any members in the surrounding area. it's pretty scary out there!!!

HEY GUYS>....no I didn't wash away lastnight....the storm came through and was pretty windy...and a lot of rain....we didn't get as much as a lot of people did though....I only got 4 1/2 inches here at my house.

Its cloudy here now...but no rain...nor does it really look like its going to.

HOWEVER....the event is ON.....my wife was out and about and just called me on the cell phone and notified me that the parking lot has about 30 cars there.....so its ON. :{D I will probably head out there around noon or after.....


EDIT.....I had to run to town....so I stopped by....its getting a slow start....so I figure I won't go back till at least two.....hopefully it will pick up by then....this storm has put a pretty big damper on people getting up and out this morning. :{D

thats great! im glad that the show DID go on...how was the turnout? fairly decent after all of the rain? just give us that didn't make it a nice little overview of what went on, and if you took any pictures! thanks!

Acutally the storm really took its toll on the turn out....there were plenty of spectators....but there were two BIG area car clubs from neighboring towns that didn't show.....the gloom and doom of empending rain kept them away.....so the car show section was pretty sparce.....so anyone that didn't make the trip didn't miss anything....I didn't even bring my p-5 down till very late afternoon and by then they had already closed the show entries.....I could have whooped anthing that was there easily.....oh well....my baby is now tucked away in the garage still nice and clean and ready for another day. Not a biggie...

and no...I didn't take pictures....there wasn't anything worth taking pictures of IMO. the best part was the battle of the bands.....there was lots of good music to enjoy.

Hopefully....we will have a better one next time...and maybe mother nature will cooperate
