It's frustrating because I rely on Maps, but if I get a call while using it, the infotainment system crashes. The same thing happens if I try to use Siri.Yes, happening to me since upgrading to iOS 18.0 (and now 18.1). Seems when I initiate a message to someone from the car it crashes after disabling input. I was looking at upgrading my firmware to see if that helped. I have a 2018 CX-9.
No, I mean do whats often called a “forced restart”.I bought a new phone, restored from backup. You don't mean reset and erase data, right?
The firmware upgrade is really easy as long as you read the instructions thoroughly before and during the process. I've done 3 Mazdas now from various 59.X versions directly up to 74 with no issues. Not crashing here but no longer defaults to last song screen itunes. Music plays fine and I'm hard wired with Apple lightning-usb cable to the system. However came here to see if others had issues (apparently) since 18.1 update. I know I'm behind on my NA firmware (no time but not paying Mazda $400 to update). I have 2017 CX-5
