What turbo kit are you using? (internal or external wg, turbo size, etc.)

What is your target boost level?

wastegate/boost

hey im running external wastegate (tial 38mm) im wanting to run about 10psi but terry at spool is trying to program a e- manage for me to run up to 13 psi im set at .50 (7.25 psi) at 65%duty and my wastegate will open at like .35 or .40 sometimes and some times it works right but most of the time it overshoots to like .70, my turbo is a t3/t4 stage 3 57 trim 63 ar maybe that might be a little help in figuring out why its overshooting i know that turbo is huge ive been told several times that that is the biggest any one has heard of being in a protege 5 i dont know if it is or not
thanks alot

You want the AVC-R to go into Self Learning mode.

Start off by setting the start duty cycle to 35%. Do several (4 or 5) 3rd gear pulls from 3K rpm to redline. This will put the AVC-R in to Self Learning mode and the AVC-R will try to automatically adjust the duty cycle over the rpm band to maintain the .50 boost setting.

If 35% causes you to overshoot/undershoot your desired boost level of .50 by .0? then lower/raise the start duty cycle to accordingly -/+? from 35%. Repeat the Self Learning mode process.

Example: If you hit .55 with a start duty cycle of 35%, change your start duty cycle to 30% and repeat the Self Learning mode process.

***Be sure to watch you boost guage and if it overshoots your desired p.s.i. by more than a couple p.s.i., GET OFF THE GAS and lower the start duty cycle.***

You may have to do this process a few times to get it just right.

Hope this helps.
