hi,
could anyone with a mintblue front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper etc... quote me how much it would cost to get a shop to paint each item? or items all together? I'm thinking about buying one and would like to know the price.
also can someone install it themselves without any heavy equipment?
the sideskirts just replace the factory one right?
thanks for answering:)

Cost on the kit will depend on a few things.

The front bumper will need to be filled in due to the side marker lights. The sides are a direct fit so no real mods needed there. As for the rear ... you have a few options:

1. Import the JDM rear and have your exhaust shortened.

or

2. Cut and extend the rear MB piece to fit the US style rear bumper.

In my case, I installed the kit myself.

The front bumper we filled in with a special bumper repair product. The MB kit fits soo well that install is a PITA. You basically hook one side of the bumper in and literally STRETCH it across the rest of the bumper and snap it into the other wheel well. It uses factory mounting points for install.

The sides skirts mount to stock locations in the front and need to have 2 holes in each rear wheel well drilled -- no big deal -- just jack the car up and remove the rear wheels.

For the rear ... we are still trying to import the JDM rear since I want to keep the kit intact as much as possible. I have seen a kit that was cut and extended and I didnt like it too much with the way it matched up to the rest of the kit and the body "lip" that the front bumper will have.

A good body shop will install the kit -- with the filling of the front bumper, and the extension of the rear for approx $2,500+

I know RODSCALIP4 has one and he had 2 weeks ago for sale. I think he want 1,000, but the good news is in Carsbad near San Diego I bought the mint blue grill and he has the entire kit in his living room. He also had a 2nd set of side skirts already on the car and they looked really nice. Shoot him a pm, hes a great guy and will to delivery

thanks for the info.
for the front bumper does the side marker holes need to be filled in for the install to be in right? or will the mint blue front bumper cover it up?

so on an MSP there would be no filling needed, siince there are no lights?
also, does the mintblue front lip looks ok with the stock sideskirts?
are the lines clean?
anyone know if the msp fogs will fits, and are the inside dimensions the same compared to the stock front bumper?
for compatibility with fmic

Well ... iirc the MSP bumpers are shaped differently than the MP3/5 bumper so the MB piece wont fit either way.

But on a MP3/5 the front will be ALOT lower with the factory skirts -- it really needs the MB sides to complete the look. Plus the rear piece.

Yes, I do believe the 2003 .. not the 3.5's are the same. Once they ditched the fog lights and used that new bumper style, the MB kit is outta the question.

The 2003.5 DOES have a different bumper than the 2003 MSP. The 2003 has the same as the MP3/5. So if you own a 2003 you can easily do the MB kit. You will just need to figure out something to do with the rear to make the whole car flow together. If you have a 2003.5 you will need to get the other bumper to make it work.
