Ok i have greddy sp2 , apex dp , injen cai , and joe p mbc

Now when I step on the car its like the turbo spools loud...it blows off loud the stock bpv is loud....and it sounds nice but the mbc doesnt work and the car when it goes into boost doesnt pull at all , it sort of feels like the car just wants to take off and somethings holding back u feel the car wanna pull but it just doesnt go anywhere its like the turbo isnt even kicking in its just making noise....so i was guesing maybe a hose was loose or something like that but i check and all the hoses are right??? any suggestion what this could be ? Anyone expirience the same thing ?

Just stabbing in the dark here...need some more info really...
Did you reset your ECU after the mods?
Clutch slipping maybe? Are your RPMs climbing but the car isn't really going anywhere?
Do you have a boost gauge? How do you know the boost controller isn't working?
Give some more info...maybe someone can help...

I have a boost controller opening and closing it doesnt do anything i have a boost gauge thats how i know. Also the ecu wasent rested after i did this....how would i do that ? and yes the rpms climb but the car doesnt pull i mean it moves but sorta feels like a regular protege with no turbo lol. So i dont know its sorta like the turbo isnt even kicking in...

If you have a boost gauge then you can tell if the turbo is "kicking in". No boost, no turbo worky. If you have boost, the turbo is "kicking in".

If you have a boost gauge, what is it going to?

Sounds like a major boost leak. I bet you are getting the loud spooling sound because the turbo is spinning as fast as it can, but the air is leaking out somewhere, and therefore isn't building enough positive pressure to even open the wastegate. I would get it resolved ASAP, as you might burn out your turbo soon.

If hes reading boost how would the leak be where the cai connects to the turbo? Because the boost gauge reads its boost from the vaccum line that connects to the intake mani, which means that everything should be connected up to that point. Anyway is your car boosting, then revving, and not really moving? if so its probally your clutch because that is what my car was doing and i have to replace my clutch. And to reset your ecu unhook the neg bat terminal for like 5-10 min then hook back up and your reset.

How much static compression is it possible to lose with bent rods and still have the engine functional? Don't want to scare anyone, but could bent rods drop compression from 9.1:1 to say, 8.5:1? That could explain loss of power at higher boost. So could large amounts of timing retard if the ECU is detecting detonation from a lean mixture.

Ok whats happening is...im in first gear....i step on the car the turbo spools everything SOUNDS right but its not pulling at all so im guessing its a leak somwhere also but i guess ill just take it to some one to look at it because i cant figure out whats wrong....also could it have something to do with the mbc ? because this is what happened....I went to install the CAI , DP , Exhaust , and the mbc...when i got home right after i went to lower the boost cause it was going up to like 15, when i went to lower it nothing happened i took it back to the people who put it on and they told me the mbc has a leak and its screwed up....so i was like ok ill get a new one...then about 3 days ago i stepped on the car and the boost gauge read 7 in first gear then 10 in 2nd and it stays there....but before 3 days ago when i woud step on it it woud boost up to like 18 pounds and the car would pull like crazy, fast , and yea i know its dangerous therefore i never stepped on the car cause of it but now it stops at 7-10 pounds and doesnt move...really wierd

I would try resetting the ECU (disconnect the negative wire from the battery for 5-10 minutes to make sure) like the others have said. If that doesn't make a difference, you may have bigger issures. If the turbo is spooling and showing 10 psi, then there is more-than-likely a fuel ratio problem. The clutch COULD be slipping, but your RPM's would go up without your speed going up in relation rather than just feeling like the engine isn't pulling.

Last thing: I wonder if there could be a throttle body issue. The butterfly could maybe not be openning far enough, therefore allowing the boost but not the airflow. Anyone have any ideas on this?

I guess im gonan end up having to take my car to dyanmic turbo a shop by here in Miami and see if they can figure out whats wrong

I'd go with South Florida Performance over them, I think. If your RPMs are going up faster than normal but the car's not pulling, then get ready for a new clutch. If your RPMs aren't going up disproportionately, but boost is building and your car's not pulling, then maybe you should do a compression test and hope it comes out okay.

can you peel 2nd gear? When your letting out the clutch do the rpms start dropping when its close to the floor or higher up? pretty sure your clutch is gone from the fun you were having with your new mods :)

They're way south off SW 187th ST and 107th AVE in the West Perrine area. Dynamic Turbo's not a bad chain, but you never know what kind of work you're going to get.
