This is just to gauge interest. Proper signage and pictures will ensue if there's enough interest.
Hi all,
About a year ago my radiator burst on the highway and the head gasket on my FS-ZE failed. It cranked on fine but definitely felt off from loss of power and had the classic "milky" coolant build up in the radiator and boiling coolant in reservoir...
I have since decided to try out an engine swap myself, and have successfully replaced it with another FS-ZE, and I'm wondering if anyone wants my old ZE for parts or rebuilding, etc. for cheap! I will most likely not ship it, so you'll probably have to bring a buddy with a truck and the three of us could put it on a pallet I have and lift it on to your truck bed. I'm located in Lost Angeles county, CA.
I'm also interested in just selling the intake cam (FSH9) and FS-ZE intake manifold. The engine's compression on all cylinders averaged 210PSI dry (before gasket failure). The engine has around 80,000 miles, and had a mild-moderate pinging problem on California's 91 octane especially when hot. Interestingly enough, my new FS-ZE has no such problem (uhm)
In addition, you will most likely have to swap your car's master bearing support plate (MBSP), the plate above the oil pan, so that you can line it up with your tranny's flange that wasn't on my newly installed engine's MBSP.
If you want more details please message me or post on this thread just in case other readers have the same inquiries as you. Once again I would be willing to get rid of this for cheap, but not free.
Thanks!
