ok my msp came with a brand new set of Triangle Tires.. yeah i dunno wtf but they look sweet.. the tread pattern is awesome so i'm trying to source out a matching set just because the other two look stupid with them and dont wanna buy a set of 4 but does anyone know anything about them... like are they gonna blow out at 100kmh? lol

they are 215/45/17 Triangle Talon TR968

any reviews on them would be good..

lol, do these "triangle" tires come with the scion xA and xB. Seems like some good math is going to be brewing here.

lol i already got the "round" thing from a buddy.. i dunno i can take a pic they look pretty badass however.. lol i did find a set for 120 a tire canadian which is pretty decent.. thats installed and balanced so bring it down more if it's just the tire.

when i saw the tires at first i was like OOOooOooo then i was like wtf is Triangle.. oh well i guess i'm the only cool one on Triangle tires lol.

oh and it has a porsche carrera gt on the website so that DEFINATELY means i can drive really fast on them (boom07)

yep, they're chinese knockoffs. a lot of the chinese tire companies have started copying the tread patterns from american tires. the problem with chinese tires is that they are only tested by the us DOT for safety. nobody knows if they're long-wearing, crisp, or grippy compared to what we're used to. from what i've heard tehy don't put much money into engineering them. would i buy them? nope!

well im kinda stuck wiht them lol i really dont have cash for a whole new setup so.. oh well i guess i will see how they go.. maybe they will turn out to be alright i dunno.

i was thinking the same thing. "carrera gt on their website? they must be good!"

From what I've learned, these tires are manufactured by Cooper Tire. Triangle is the "In House" label used by NTB.. 360 treadwear AA traction and A temp. I've been very pleased with them thus far. I hated the Michelin Pilots that came on the car stock. And as far as them being Chinese, please, I'll bet that 1/2 the posters of these forums are riding on Chinese tires and don't even know it...

Appreciate the feedback. I ran across these as well and was wondering the same thing when I found them.

The funkiest chinese tire i've heard of is the "sunny" brand. Most of the cheap passenger car kumhos are made in china. I prefer Yokohamas, made in Japan.

does "sunny" refer to Sunew tires? cause new set of wheels over the summer w/ those tires. i was trying to keep the purchase as cheap as possible, but now i'm wishing i'd have spent the extra 100 for falken tires. either way the tires seem normal, and i can't really say just how much better they are then my last set, considering they were 3 year old Kumho Ecsta ASTs w/ no tread when i got them

They are the Number One Tyre Company in China. If you are seeking cheap Commuter tyres else cheap Drift Practice Tyres, you cant go wrong with the Talons. I'm running Triangle CNTT GLS TR 928s Talons @ P195-60R14s (Set of Four) on my 1999 Madza Miata (base). I commute to San Francisco (200 miles RT) daily and I love pushing the limits (a miata feels natural only at 80mph/130Klicks with the top down. They are what they are, a cheap, entry level performance tyre (kinda-sorta). Technically, they are sold as All Season's Radials-Performance but in no circumstances would they be confused with QUALITY PERFORMANCE TYRES (Like, I wouldn't take 'em over 100mph). Ontario, Huh? Your Talons are more summer than All Seasons Radial. Think of them as BASEBALL Tyres---first drop of rain, the car goes inside. I've dug donuts with them at 80Klicks HR on drizzle---not snow or rain but drizzle. My Miata is near race ready with Brembo slotted rotors/EBC Green stuff pads/steel lines, Mish 2 row all alum rad with Tein Suspension, Fordanza Fly Wheels and some other nice toys. Sliding corners on High Way one is how I blow off steam on the weekend. If your running MadzaSpeed modified, you need better tyres!!!
