Any photographers in here?

in #2 how did you get the street light to not blow out the entire photo while still getting the lightning?

with correct exposure?

You just have to figure out how long your exposure should be to make the lightning and the foreground evenly exposed. You can't do 30 second exposures because the foreground will be destroyed and the lightning barely visible.
 
thanks, lack of storms here so i dont get to work on storm shots too often. i usually just end up pointing at the sky and not having foreground objects.
 
in no way is this artsy or good, but i snapped this today when driving down the road. wasnt moving, i stopped but remained in my car. so very sexy
