Has anyone ever put anti-lag on a speed6? searched but couldnt find anything

you can use flat foot shifting with the ap which is probably pretty damn close

yeah but with anti lag I believe you actually hold boost in between shifts. you dont with flat foot do you?

long overdue but,

i would assume boost only tapers off as fast as the turbo wheel can slow down. since the motor is still turning at fairly high rpm there are no real forces slowing down the rotating assembly.

at least thats how i see it.

with flat foot shifting i hold about 12psi between shifts. that is basically the whole point of ffs, to hold boost while shifting.

FFS is definitely safer. Anti-lag is great if you have a deep pocket or if you dont use it alot. Basically when you are off the gas, the timing retards like 50 degrees, and the injectors spit alot of excess gas, which ignites in the exhaust manifold, creating extra pressure in the manifold keeping the exhaust wheel spinning( and a nice flame out the exhaust), all of this causing a ton of extra heat in the exhaust manifold, turbine housing and exhaust. At least this is how it worked on my DSM. I know most everyone knows how it works, but just thought I would enlighten the ones that didn't know
