I have the alpine Ipod adapter with a CDA-9835 and when I turn off my car my ipod stays on. It is paused, but still on. Sometimes when I get back in my car and turn my stereo on it has switched to another CD completely. Every 2 weeks or so I cant get my iPod to come on and the CD player wont find it. Any suggestions?

Every so often my Alpine won't find the iPod either. It usually means the battery is pretty low. Sometimes if I unplug the iPod and turn it on, then plug it back in, it will work.

I think the iPod will go into a sleep mode when paused. Not sure though.

The battery should never go low should it, since the adapter is supposed to charge it?

my ipod will stay on for a few minutes after i shut off the car, but eventually it'll shut itself off. i've never had a problem with my iva-d300 not recognizing it, though.

Yea, but supposedly it is more of a trickle charge. Like it maintains the battery, not really charging. I bring it in every couple weeks and charge it over night, no biggie. That is with my iPod though, and it has problems. For example, I can't connect it to my computer... heh, it sucks (argh)

Lol, my computer rarely recognizes my iPod either, but I figured that was a whooooole different thing. I guess i'll just have to bring it in once a week to charge it (sad2)
