After Market DVD Sound limited?

First I apologize if this has been addressed before.

I looking to get the 2010 CX-9 GT AWD with the Moonroof and add on the Overhed DVD player. The dealer told me that when they add the overhead DVD it will to go through an FM Modulator. Going through the FM Modulator limits the movie sound to come through only 4 speakers. Is this true?

Has anyone wired the Overhead DVD so it takes full advantage of the Bose system?

So, why not the OE RES system?
The RES and Moonroof used to be exclusive to each other. I guess this is no longer true.
If you go with RES, certainly the Bose system can take care of that.
Well, of course, the OE RES is much more expensive.

actually just spoke to car stereo place and as i thought this is not true. They actually will install the aftermarket DVD system with the FM modulator and run a cord into center arm rest where the Aux input is. this way i can plug the DVD into the aux port if i want to as well to fully use the Bose system.

sounds good to me.

That would make sense to me.
However, OE RES system comes with digital surround sound (simulated).
Do post a picture to share with us once it is done.
