Add Sirius AND Phatbox to an 08 MS3

I've perused the forums and I can't find a clear answer to add both a Phatbox and a Sirius tuner to my 08.

I've contacted the Axxess (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XM-s...018QQitemZ280148207451QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V) and their unit isn't compatible with either Sirius or the 08 MS3's. So they're out of the equation.

I've read this and just became confused: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123634459.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, hopefully one that will provide the Sirius text to the headunit. I'm gathering I'll need a switchbox, potentially the Mazda one.

edit...should mention its a Bose sys w/o Nav.

man i never even listen to my sirus. its funny my free subscription expired 4 months ago and it still works they havn't stopped the service and I haven't paid anything.

Sorry my thread was confusing for you. :D

To clarify:

The ACI (auxiliary console input) sirius and phatbox connect to the HU through the same port on the back. There is a switchbox available that allows you to plug in both the ACI and one other input (i.e. sirius, phatbox, ipod). One of the ports on the switchbox ONLY works with the ACI so you can't plug in both sirius and the phatbox.

Your options. Install whichever you really want to be able to control from the HU and view info. on the HU's LCD into the HU itself. Then buy either a Mp3 player, or an aftermarket satellite unit and plug that into the ACI. You'll have to control it from the device but at least you'll have the music. I'd lean towards the Mp3 player as you can still use it out of the car more easily than you can a satellite unit.

Basically if I'm choosing between the Phatbox and Sirius its Phat all the way.

I'm choosing Phatbox because...
A) I'm disturbed at the concept of messing with MP3/Ipod type structure even via oem controls.

B) The voice prompts and searchability of the Phatbox are superior.
