AC not cold in my 02!!!

I just bought the car as I stated in a previous ad, the ac did not work when I bought it, I got the R134 filled to day, it was low not all gone, filled it, turned it on, no cold air.

My buddy said that the compressor produced low PSI maybe around 100 where as it should be about 200PSI.

So is it the AC compressor that needs replaced and if so, does anyone know how much the AC compressor costs? my buddy is going to do the work for me, I just have to find one, should I buy a brand new factory one if thats what the problem is?

The ac light does light up on the button, can anyone advise?

Wow, I am surprised not even one response!!!

Well, as it turns out, my AC fan clutch was not even on the car, the mechanice suspects it fell out as the factory bolt has come loose before on cars he has seen.

So after $392 for a new AC fan clutch from Mazda, and $59 labor, my AC is blowing ice cold again!

good to know. mine is not really fresh in town, but on highway, its cold.
