About to get a Mazda Protege 5!

I just picked up a 2002 Mazda Protegé5 and I'm excited to start doing some mods to it. It's in pretty good shape, mostly stock, and I'm looking for suggestions on where I should start first!
I want to improve it overall maybe performance, handling, or even just daily driving feel. I'm not going full race car or anything, just trying to make it more fun and reliable.
Thanks!

Oh! I used to have a P5. They are so great. Enjoy it, they are awesome! Some noise/vibration on certain types of pavement - that was my only complaint. Otherwise, excellent.

LED lights everywhere, headers (if you emissions laws allow, Motocraft XT-M5-QS trans oil (if manual), new struts and shocks all the way around (or coilovers for stance and even more handling), new suspension bushings to replace the 23 year old ones, bigger wheel and tire combo, CAI and other mods for fuel efficiency and mo' power unless you want to go the turbo route ( which can be done for as little as 1k-1.5k I hear). Fun little cars definitely. Had mine for a little over 2 years now. Check out the things I have done. Thread 'Laser Blue Protege5 Build' Laser Blue Protege5 Build

@Xavjr._ when I say new LEDs everywhere I mean all lights. I've replaced every single bulb on the car from head to tail to interior lights to dash lights. Fogs and markers too. Only lights that haven't been changed are the ones behind the climate control dials. Good luck to you!
