67k, on 3rd cabin air filter.

First filter changed at 32k, now took out the 2nd at 67k, on 3rd filter.
Hopefully my efforts will prolong the life of the fan motor. (not to mention breathing less polluted air).

If you really want to prolong the life of the motor and breathe cleaner air while inside your CX-9, you better start changing your filter a lot more often. Like every 10k-15k miles sooner. 30k'ish mile intervals for changing that filter is way too long. Just saying....

Is the filter swap an easy one on the CX-9s? Reason I ask is that its usually a PITA for pollen filters. I'm way overdue on my Mazda 3 and that one is a bit of a pain to do.

It is extremely easy. open glove door, pop off the rear glove compartment access door, then there is the white filter door, which releases on the left side as you are looking at it.
gotta kinda pull with your other hand while unlatching it with your left hand. Takes all in all less than a minute to complete filter swap.
