My 2013 hit 60,000 miles today. I do all of my own maintenance (all fluids, filters, etc.) and my car has never been in the shop. Never. Most reliable car I've ever owned! Thanks Mazda!!

Going to hit 40K on my 2015 this week. It, too, has never had issues except replacing a fender guard secondary to road debris, and a flat tire. Thus far, I am extremely happy with its reliability.

I'm just over from the CX9 forum. Seems the CX5 forum is pretty active this weekend. Mazda reliable - agree!

On my 2008 CX9 the only time I recall taking it in for work was to correct the fan blower that would run after the ignition was turned off. Seemed to be a prevalent issue. Then, I replaced the struts at 99K to beat the ext warranty expiration. I actually never had the brake pads replaced or the transmission serviced. Only reason I traded it in was because I felt I got my money's worth and due to extended distance travel trips, thought it might be wise thinking this good fortune couldn't last forever. So, I bought another one.

Mine was certainly reliable.

Very good. Sometimes it's just a matter of not mucking up all the good work that went into these well made machines. Like the dealership in Canada who was reported on in this forum. They filled it with oil that didn't meet Mazda's minimum specs and then acted like they were doing the right thing by changing it out 1500 miles early (instead of immediately upon discovering they had used the wrong oil).

I'll never understand logic like that.

You've been using the Mazda 0W-20 with molybdenum? What is your change interval?

I started with Castrol Edge but switched last year to Mazda with Moly. I do it every 5000 miles. Likely overkill, but I don't care. I keep my cars until they die so I tend to do maintenance probably more often than needed.
