463 RWHP! Title says it all.

He obviously keeps photos like that on his hard drive. I wonder what other photos he has? I think he's a closet case.

ahh.....that is a good......suggestion....i will have to do some photochopping.....

flatblack...do you realize how much of an Ass you are making yourself out to be? take a second and read the posts from the beginning....READ big_ben's first post.....read it carefully...then read what section it is in....

Boo ******* whoooo. I'm crying.

Thats a real track car.

keep it up...flatblack.... you continue to paint an even uglier picture of yourself.....your intelligent use of pictures to articulate your informed and intelligent comments are intriguing to say the least.

your s2000.....3.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile..... care to elaborate.... how on earth did you get it to go so fast.... its a serious question.

What's up with closed-minded people? The whole point here is that a 4-cylinder is putting down some real numbers. The Supra, 300ZX, and such are 6-cylinders! Anyone see this month's issue of Turbo Magazine? Notice the EVO making 407 WHP on the stock block with AWD? To get these numbers out of a 4-cylinder is impressive! Some people need to grow the phuck up! No names were mentioned here to protect the "innocent," but on the real though, GROW UP!

Don't worry about him guys. Ho doesn't bother me at all. All he is doing is trying to get me pissed off. But, sorry, it doesn't work on me. I actually find him amusing. I don't even have to talk s*** about him to make him look stupid. All I have to do is let him keep posting his stupid replies. He's doing a good enough job of making himself look dumb.

By the way, yes, the Miata is a great track car. Especially a turbo Miata. But unless the Miata has a great driver, an S2000 or an RX7 will hand it's as to them on a track.

That is crazy for a stock block! Well, hold on, what's stock in the EVO? It's surely got forged rods already right. That's still amazing. Does it have Motec or something?

I think they just did a upgraded turbo, a upgraded manifold, and more boost on race fuel. I almost put my car up for sale.

I wonder what the sti block will be able to do...I'm not sure if it has forged internals though...

The thing that decides whether a manufacturer uses forged internals is mainly issues with cylinder pressures and the warranty. If there are high cylinder pressures, the pistons and rods will take a beating if they are not forged. Therefore, in order to not take a beating from warranty claims, they used forged internals. But, if they use forged internals, the tollerances must be much closer because the wear from the pistons no being able to expand like cast pistons will also cause high warranty claims. This is why the S2000 has some of the closest tollerances inside it's cylinders. They S2000 comes with forged internals because of the high rpms and the high compression. I've read that the tollerances inside the S2000 are pretty much the highest there is, not counting manufactureres such as Ferrari and Lambo.

Also a quick fact that most don't know about the S2000. The pistons speeds (speed that the pistons are traveling up and down), if that wasn't obvious, are the fastest of any car ever made. They are actually just a tiny bit slower than F1 cars piston speeds.

Cool. I was wondering about how they handled all the pressure with the High compression and all. The majority of my engine technical experience comes from my Chevrolet Truck with a really simple 305 turned into a stroked 350ci small block....

From what I gather, it's like the S2000 engine comes "Balanced and Blueprinted" from the factory?

Also, how does the stroke of the S2000 compare to a say B16?
From all of my small block experience, to gain more compression you increased the stroke and added high compression pistons...
Does honda follow the same idea on the really high revving engines like the S2000?

I screwed around with a Gray S2000 on the highway a feeks ago on my motorcycle. It had a shitload of power at ~50 MPH where we were messing around. Although, when I decided to actually downshift like he did, it became a little more one sided. :) I'm glad it wasn't the damn beast that made the dyno run above. Whew.

I'm not sure how it compares to the b16a since I don't know a damn thing about the b-series motors.:D I do know that the F20C(S2000 motor) is pretty much the same as the motor in the RSX Type S. I think the RSX motor is called the K20 or KLZ20,...something like that. But the one in the RSX isn't as radical as the F20C. I'm not positive on the differences between the two. One difference I do know is the RSX has the I-vtec and the S2000 doesn't. The real thing that is pretty stupid of Honda is that they have changed the S2000 a little bit for the 2004 year model and they didn't add the i-vtec. They did bump it up to a 2.2L instead of a 2.0, and they lowered the redline to 8000rpm. But the torque increased by about 10ftlbs and hp stayed the same. All it really is, is a stroked F20C.
