3rd Gear Syncro.

I took my car into Mazda because I was having trouble getting my car into third gear at 4000 rpm. and over. They said that my third gear syncro. was worn and that they wouldn't cover it under warranty. They said they would only cover the repair under warranty if the syncro. broke. This just doesn't sound right. I'm not overly hard on my car. The only gear I've ever grinded in was 2nd. What should I do?

Try going to another dealer. If they refuse, call Mazda USA

idiots....take it to another dealer for sho...but dont mention the grinding you may of done in 2nd, lol

Hahahaha, I actually told the dude take it out, gimma a hammer and I'll break it. What Houston dealer would you suggest if any?
I wasn't racing at all, it just started happening like 2 months ago. I don't drive my car real hard because lets face it, as of now, it's slow.

how many miles on your car?

Just drive it until you bust it.
As long as you dont have mods they will have to fix it (unless they claim abuse)

sounds like someone's trying to cut corners on you. I would definitely check another dealer. That's just not right. EVERYONE grinds gears once in a while. good luck and let us know how this turns out.
