3" Thermal R&D Cat-Back Exhaust

Just to give you guys the heads up, Thermal is currently working on my car for a 3" cat-back exhaust right now. Downpipe will be finished later. From today, they are looking to have there production finished in 2 weeks. I will post Pics and Dyno Numbers as soon as they are done. Not sure what the cost is. One thing... WTF do we have a 2" exhaust system on our car stock? Has anyone ever noticed that? Acutally its like 1.9xxx. Seriously how much power do you guys think is hiding inside that ugly 2" exhaust?

more noise, no gains with stock turbo or anywhere near the stock engine. 2.5" will flow enough for anything reasonable for this car, and will be much less "look at me" noisy

very true. Even with the flyin protege kit no gain was found when going from a 2.25" to a 2.5"

I WANT 3" I'M A MORBID FAN OF OVERKILL!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! BURN IT DOWN!!! THROW THINGS!!! TIP STUFF OVER!!! BREAK WINDOWS!!! CARRY BIG THINGS OVER YOUR HEAD AND RUN AROUND!!! YELL INAUDIABLE THNIGS!!! BEAT PEOPLE DOWN!!! LOOT THINGS!!!

The 3" piping with NO muffler is actually very quiet compared to the 3" piping with a muffler. I'm almost debating pulling my muffler off because of the difference.

Acutally I don't think it will be loud due to the fact that the turbo is drowning out hte sound a little?

My muffle broke off before, I don't know about the MSp but my car was INSANELY LOUD!

the turbo will muffle the sound, but 3" is still going to be louder than 2.5". it will be a noticable difference

What do you think with a 3" downpipe-back system. Compared to a 2.5" downipipe back system. What do you feel is going to work better?

there will be minimal power gains from going 3". to actually see a benefit from 3" over 2.5" you will need a new turbo and more. it won't hurt though to go 3", just be louder, which is why i would want 2.5"
