2024 CX-5 middle console latch replacement

Has anyone had any issues with a 2024 CX-5 Carbon Edition middle console latch breaking. I have been searching online for a replacement part, but I am unable to find it for that year the latest version I can find online is for a 2016.

You likely have to buy the entire console hatch. I have never seen a post about one breaking before. I have 50k on two different current gen CX-5s with no issues.

I was very surprised as well when it broke, it was a clean break across the length of it. Just very strange, its never slammed and there are no little ones playing around in the car. It just seems very poorly made, but very frustrating to have to deal with that in car I have owned for less than year. Also, that's what I figured but I cannot seem to find the part online for the 2024.

I didn’t even think about looking into if it still covered under warranty. I actually have an appointment on Friday for an oil change so I will inquire about it. Thank you.

2016s had that problem as with mine. It's under warranty.

People just slam it down and break the latch. Close it nicely and no issues.

If you don't want it to break pull up on the latch before closing and then when the console top closes release the latch. That way there's no snap pressure which will eventually cause the latch to break.

No, it just broke the first time i used it, dealer said weak latch.
