2014 cx-5 stereo system

i have a 2014 cx-5 sport base model and want to know if adding an amp the factroy sytem will help out the quality and thinking of adding 2 3.5's in the dash. are the 3.5's prewired. what size speakers are in the new 2014 i only have 4.

Judging from the '13 Sport model, they should be pre-wired. Read through this thread start to end, most of the questions you'll have on installation can or should be answered in it with regards to the dash speakers as well as adding an amp. From all accounts, the deck can handle feeding both the door speakers and a pair of 3.5's. Understand that in the higher trim levels, these are tweets not full range or coaxials, and as such do not present much of a load on the amp.
