2014~2017 19” Mazda6 Wheels on 2022 CX-5?

Hey y’all. I’ve been on the hunt for some new wheels for my 2022 CX5 and found these Mazda 6 wheels that are the same bolt pattern and only half an inch wider than the 17” stock wheels on there right now. What size tires do I need for them to look “normal” on my CX5? I don’t want any rubbing. Found this thread from 2017 where someone put the same wheels on their first gen CX5 and they used 225/55/19 size tires. Should I go with the same size tires? Thanks in advance.

225/55r19 is the oem tire size on the upper-trim CX-5 so definitely no rubbing. Personally, I think they look too skinny for the size of the vehicle when viewed from behind. If I were doing the same swap I would take any advantage of the extra .5” rim width and go as wide as allowed according to online chart recommendations.

Looks like the size on the higher trim with the 7.5” width take 245/50R19 instead of 225/55/R19’s. You think I should go with those instead? I’m a total newbie to buying wheels/tires so apologies if I sound dumb haha

I'm running 235/70/16 inch on mine...no rub. A few on here are running 245's with no rub(i know some got 245/65/17 but there may be some on 245/50/19. As far as width, i may kick up to 245's. Imo, don't go any wider.
For you, check your offset. Depending on the rim offset of the mazda6 rims, 245 might be a tad too big and may push into the suspension and body panels.

You need to make sure your not too far out of diameter specs though.
Go to tiresize.com and
wheel size.com and check your new size against stock size. You really want to try and stay as close to stock and not more than 3% difference in diameter.
