We just bought a 2010 CX-7 2.5L. The radio is completely dead, it won't turn on or do anything. I've checked fuses and tried disconnecting the battery. Anyone have any ideas? I also checked the plugs in the back on the radio. They were disconnected but that may have happened when I pulled it forward. The previous owner had put a battery in it right before he sold it. If I pull a radio from a salvage car woukd it be plug and play? The car does not have navigation.

If the wires were pulled, they may have been pulled for a reason.
You can try a radio from a junkyard, or you could go aftermarket. Either would (should) work. If they don't work, something electrical is wrong, and a rabbit hole is on your future.

I'm thinking that maybe the shorted out the radio when jump starting it so maybe a junk yard radio will work. I'll soon find out.
