Mazda CX 7 2007
Hello,

This is my first post here on the forum and I was hoping someone out there may know what could be wrong with my 2007 CX7

About once maybe twice a month (no correlation to weather) my CX7 won't start on the first turn of the key, but always starts on the second try. Since it doesn't happen that often I have ignored it for about two years now, but I am hoping someone on here might have a solution for me.

Started two years ago, milage about 60k now its 85k. Key turns, clicking noise happens, engine won't turn over. I wait a second and then turn the key again and the engine turns over just as it normally does. I have tried search the web about this problem and came up with nothing.

I was thinking maybe spark plugs? but my CEL never comes on for this issue and I do not notice any misfiring while driving.

Thanks

Try checking all electrical connections at the battery Starter etc. just a little green (cheese) corrosion will cause this pay particular attention to the positive cable's connection's on our M5 it has an isolator whereas the power + is connected in 2 additional points other then on top of the battery hope this helps And yes I also drive a CX7 & have put dielectric grease on all my connections right after I purchased it
