2002 Mazda Protege 5

5 speed Pure White with Charcoal cloth interior.

I've been the owner of this 2002 P5 since new. It has about 114k miles on it now and is a daily driver. It has some small rust spots on it now, but nothing bad for a 12 year old car.

As stock:
- 2.0L FSDE DOHC aluminum motor, front wheel drive
- Manual 5-speed transmission
- Pure White paint
- Cloth seats with front and side airbags
- 4 wheel disc brakes with electronic brake force distribution and ABS
- Power moonroof
- roof racks
- Averages 28 mpg over the last 4 years

Modifications include:
- 35% window tint on all windows
- TWM short throw shifter
- TWM Type R weighted shift knob (gunmetal gray)
- JVC CD/USB/iPod control head unit
- Sony xPlode amplifier
- Bazooka 10" subwoofer
- 17" Enkei RP07 wheels with Continental DWS tires
- shorty aluminum antenna

Spares:
- Mazda Protege5 Factory workshop manual on CD
- Anthony Woodford Racing adjustable rear sway bar end links
- Factory Mazda 16" wheels with snow tires
- original Mazda lug nuts and lock nuts
- factory roof rack covers

The interior is in good shape and frequently cleaned. I am a non-smoker and no one has ever smoked in the car. The water pump and timing belt were replaced on time at 100k miles. Recently the car has had all new brakes and pads put on it.

Asking $3000, but will accept reasonable offers. Buyer will have to make all arrangements for pick-up or shipping to them. I will coordinate but any shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

List Date: 1/12/2014
Location: Frederick, MD, United States

You've really got me looking for $3k. I've got a 15-year old who just got a permit and this would be a perfect car for him.
I'm in KS but I'm thinking this could be worth the trip there to drive it back. I'm not committing quite yet, just letting you know I'm highly interested.

Great looking P5. Whoever the next owner is will be very happy. Kudos for keeping it in great condition!

Any engine bay shots?
