2001 MPV transmission issues

I just got the family a 2001 MPV DX for carting the kids around. It is from down South so the body is mint. However, the transmission fluid was never changed with 160k on the clock! Dropped the pan changed the filter and cleaned the magnets. The did not look that bad, but fluid was brown. NO burn smell, just brown. Refilled with four qts. It isshifting better but intermittently has trouble going from 2 to third.

This is wrong forum for sure but I can't even find MPV related groups on this forum.
Since you can try changing just the fluid again 1 or two more times as the method you used only really changes 1/3 of the fluid in the system but you may also be having tranny issues and just drive it into the ground.
