I'm supposed to be going to a track meet for our local club members(not ms3 but just local gearheads all getting together). I'm gonna have a bov(not really performance oriented) a home made sri from a filter I had laying around, and a 3 inch crush bent catback one of my friends is fabing up for me at a local exhaust shop until a nice aftermarket exhaust is made.

a crush bent exhaust might decrease your performance even if it is a half inch bigger. Let us know how it works out.

I don't know why anyone would say the 3 could not go faster than a 14.4 in the 1/4. I am not the best driver in the world but I put that time on a stock Speed3. Breaking into the 13's with upgrades should not be a problem. Nice time REDMS3GT.

judging by the pissed off sound of it's BOV, i can't imagine that car being stock.

Nonopr, is that a speed 3 in your home page. If so, how the hell did you get it and how much did you pay? My local dealer (Metro Mazda) Claims they are impossible to get.

Thread from the dead I know, I just popped in to trying to find a post where redms3gt says what make his gauges are and came across this...

The BOV sounds seem to be missing from the first run which would lead you to think that it might have been the rotary in the other lane making all the racket in the second run (wink).

At that stage I think all he had done to the car is change the parkers and number plate lights to LED, I guess you could say that it wasn't stock but I'm not sure what kinda kW increase you get from changing light bulbs. (uhm)

The nasty crash that the announcer was talking about was very nasty, first I've seen live at a strip. Pics can be seen here:
