04' 3s 2.3 timing

OK,

So I'm doing a complete rebuild, but i'm stuck with the timing. I know i have the bottom end at TDC, and i have the cams at TDC, but is there anything special with the cam chain pulleys? I don't want to mess up the timing with VVT. If the engine wasn't VVT i would be positive everthing was right. But the chilton manual i have doesn't have anything on the timing, and i don't have a FSM with timing. I've got all new pistons, rods, and a crankshaft, just waiting to find some info on the timing before i go any further. any help is greatly appreciated.
