03.5 MSP Trans leak

I just bought an 03.5 MSP and the trans is leaking... It leaks from inside the boot that covers the shaft going into trans. It is the shaft that is connected to the shift linkages outside the trans. Is this an easy fix or does entire trans need rebuilt?

Does anyone know anything about this leak? I am trying to figure if the entire trans needs rebuilt or if just that seal can be changed. I appreciate all help. Thanks!

Try posting in the MSP section - this is for regular sedans, and doesn't get checked as often. Personally, I don't have an answer for you - sorry
