02 protege intake resonator delete

does anyone know how to do an intake resonator delete? i took off the front left splash guard looking for it and couldn't find it anywhere... any help?

the intake resonator is the part of the intake that its attached to the bottom part of the intake box and goes down almost to the splash guard.
