'02 Millenia - Headlights on = cruise off and brake lights on

I'm having a strange problem with my 2002 US model Millenia 2.5.

When the headlights are turned on, the cruise control doesn't work.
Also, the brake lights come on without the pedal being depressed.
With the headlights off, everything works fine.

Any suggestions? Is everything computer-controlled on this car?

if you have led tail light bulbs then install a load resister in parallel with a brake light
