another possibility. this thing is really close to the power steering fluid container so there is a good chance that in the process of getting broken that thins started to leak too. so those who say no fluid are still probably right

thanks thanks guys, It is surely fluid filled and a mess. I got rear ended and this was part of the internal damage. but i'm not sure if it is the cause of the really rough idle. well the mechanic can fill me in today. thanks again.

what is the part with the blue dot on it? it appears to have broken after i got rear ended. thanks
