Question about Security light on the dashboard

Should the dash security light (icon of car with lock on it) be blinking all the time when the car is off / locked on a Touring model, which does not have an anti-theft system? I did a search and found one old thread relevant to this, but thought I'd see if there are any other opinions. Thanks!

    Question about documentation fees

Thanks... already bought the car and doc fee was $123. It's a little higher than what I think they could charge, but it's quite a bit below average. We bought the car for $550 under invoice after rebate, so I thought it was a reasonable deal overall.

Is it possible to get a valet key for a 2010 CX-9?

I checked with the parts dept. at the dealership, and apparently they don't have a valet key listed as available for the CX-9. Any idea how I should go about finding a spare key? I don't really need a remote transmitter.. just the key itself to at least be able to get into the car. Thanks!

    Question about documentation fees

Hey guys, Sorry to bug you with all the financial questions, but I'm wondering what the average documentation fee is these days. When I bought a car back in '99, it was $40. On my last car back in '07 was $55. Mazda dealer charged $123 and I'm wondering if it just depends on the dealership and...

If you leased a Mazda recently - acquisition and purchase option fees?

Mazda's website says they've partnered with Chase to finance leases, so Mazda itself probably isn't offering it anymore. Not sure about GAP... I'll have to find out.

New member saying hello and stuff like that :)

Another update.. I stopped by today and they said their computer system had been updated recently and some things were out of whack. It charged $475 acquisition fee instead of $595 that Chase charges, so that was increased. They also added $150 end of lease purchase option fee, which was listed...

If you leased a Mazda recently - acquisition and purchase option fees?

We leased a 2010 CX-9 and paid $595 acquisition fee and will need to pay $150 to purchase at the end of 36 months. If you leased a new Mazda recently, particularly if financed through Chase, how much were your acquisition and purchase option fees? Thanks! Allen K

New member saying hello and stuff like that :)

I confronted them about the $100 discrepancy and they apologized and promised to issue a $100 refund check. The date discrepancy is apparently nothing to worry about. I will meet with the sales manager tomorrow just to go over the paperwork and make sure there's nothing screwy. I have updated...

There's no disposition fee listed specifically, but in addition to the $475 acquisition fee, there's a $290 fee that is listed as "Other", and I'm not sure what that is. Could be the disposition fee... but not sure why we have to pay that upfront though, since we're not sure if we will return...

I don't recall seeing it listed, but I will take a look in a few hours. Acquisition fee was close to $500, but I think that's about average.

    2008 CX-9 Brake Rotor replacement

Warranty on rotors is 1yr/12k miles? Hmm... I guess they don't consider them to be located between the bumpers... I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent and my dealer gladly replaced my warped front rotors at 23k miles (and I didn't even buy that car from them). Granted, it's not Mazda, but it shouldn't...

Hey Mazda folks, My father is picking up a 2010 CX-9 Touring AWD on Monday to replace an aging Pontiac minivan. It was hard to let it go because it served us well, but it was time. I helped him with research and after several weeks of looking for a certified pre-owned CX-9, we decided to lease...
