Shift linkage adjustment? Not sure I understand or perhaps I didn't explain properly.....it's like there's play in the drivetrain.......when you change up and let out the clutch there seems to be a distinct "clunk or movement" in the drivetrain as it take up the slack, so to speak.

I have an '08 Spd3.......anyone fitted the TWM short shifter assy? Thoughts and opinions on this conversion please? Also, there seems to be a lot of play in the engine assy when changing up in the gears.......it sounds like the entire engine/xmission assy is clunking backwards/forwards as...

I have a new, as in came off car at the dealer before I took delivery of it, '08 MS3 exhaust system for sale. I had them fit the Mazdaspeed uprated exhaust so that's how come I have this "spare". They cut it in two to get it off the new car. If anyone is interested, I'll make a great deal...

Well, I'm 64.......drive the MS3, a '68 Jag XKE, a Honda RC51, a Honda VFR and a 650 Vstrom......I'm off on a 9 day bike ride to Colorado in a few weeks with my two oldest sons......and if it's not obvious, I'm retired and lovin it!!.......live long and have fun my friends.

Oh wait a minute.....I replied based on a conversion to the shorter stick. You're referring to just bushings I assume......hmmm. Kinda thought that if I took the assy apart, I'd just put in the shorter stick also.......thoughts?

I've looked at that, seeing as the stock shifter has a lot of throw. One reason I haven't yet is because the assy is spring loaded, quite heavily IMO, to "rest" between 3rd and 4th. I've been wondering whether the shorter stick (less leverage) might make the change from 4th to 5th and then to...

Another dumb question from the new guy.......I see references in vendor literature/websites for MS3 Gen1 and Gen2. What's the difference?

Thanks. I figured seing as I was on the Mazda list, M3 might have been enough........anyway, it's an '04 MZ3. Also........"what cai and cbe do you have?"........sorry, don't know what this means. You mentioned the OEM trans fluid causing the problem........what other fluid do you guys use...
