but it shifts fine, just when you take your hand off the shifter it always looks like its in neutral

im a proud new owner of a 2002 pretoge' 5 (stick shift) and i was wounder whats up with my shifter, its very wobbly , like when its in gear, and you take your hand off the shifter, you cant tell what gear it is in, its just wobbling around, and i was wondering if this is just how it is on this...
