2016 Mazda 3 fm radio reception poor?

Do you have your speed-sensitive volume adjustment turned on? Turning this off improved the quality of the radio volume (stereo volume in general).

I got my new Mazda 3!!! (some questions included)

I just thought it was a little misleading that there was a discussion of TPMS sensors when the new car, a 2016, does not have the sensors. I am currently running a set of snows on wheels that have sensors from my previous Si. No muss, no fuss.

I got my new Mazda 3!!! (some questions included)

The newer Mazdas do not have TPMS sensors. The Mazda equivalent uses the anti-lock brakes wheel speed sensors to measure the difference in wheel speed due to a difference in tire pressure (tire diameter).

loud or rough idle when cold

And yes, the sound of the engine is louder and rougher too. Believe the explanation is in the manual.

Looking for my first 3. Found a beauty and would love some guidance.

Surface rust. Not a real issue other than cosmetic. Wire brush clean and spray with desired color. Or wirebrush and apply a light coating of oil. This is not uncommon and is generally ignored except by those of us with untreated OCD issues.

Looking for my first 3. Found a beauty and would love some guidance.

The car looks like it has been pressure washed, which damaged the insulation. The scratches look bad enough to require wet sanding prior to polishing. Hopefully the scratches are not into the color coat. The underside of the car looks pressure washed as well. Assuming the rust is on the surface...

Decided on i Touring, Should I Go for the Tech Package?

To my knowledge, the tech pkg is needed for the nav system because of the antenna type. I may be wrong but I have only heard of nav on tech pkg cars. Asking the dealer may be a waste of time since there are subleties that the mechanics and salesmen constantly get wrong. However, look at the...

Decided on i Touring, Should I Go for the Tech Package?

I got the tech pkg for the Sirius radio. Nice to have consistent radio on the Plains. I agree with you regarding the sunroof. No real value and extra weight. Unless something changed, the satnav is not part of the tech pkg. You will need to purchase a satnav dongle to enable the satnav...

Can the 2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback Handle Low Oil?

Was the engine malfunction light or the oil pressurelight on? The system has to be really low on oil, as in sucking air, before that light illuminates. Have a competent mechanic listen for noises that may indicate the bearings were starved for oil (rod knock). Also, the mechanic can plumb in a...

2015 Mazda 3 2.5L AEM Cold Air Intake

Backup camera standard on 2015 touchscreens. Major reason I waited for the 2015. Rearward vision is a challenge on most newer cars thus the desirability of a backup camera. And I really like the 2015 infotainment system which was a highend option on 2014.

    RUST under my 2014 Mazda3 - fixes

Not speaking for Mazda, I do not see how rust proofing some suspension bits would affect the warranty. That said, ensure the shop does not block various drain holes in the car bottom. Blocking any drainage holes is an invitation to disaster. I realize you did not ask for my opinion but I do not...

    RUST under my 2014 Mazda3 - fixes

You can try but I believe that the dealer and Mazda will say that is normal. Unless the rust is something more than surface rust, I do not beleve the structural integrity is compromised.

    RUST under my 2014 Mazda3 - fixes

The rust spot under the rocker is a surprise. I would mention that to the dealer, if you had not repaired the spot already. Rust on the suspension arms does not surprise me since the paint on those parts is low grade. Short of a rock guard coating, rocks will chip any paint you put on those...

    My last Mazda's

I cannot add too much to the above. I think the responses to the original post are well written and correct. We have had 6 Mazdas and it is our preferred brand. Second place is Subaru (4wd in North Dakota is nice but not a necessity. ) I will add tho, it is difficult for a dealer to fix an...

    Infotainment System Bugs

I agree with Bruns. While my system has some faults, they are are annoying, not terrible like the first generation Ford Mytouch, or whatever it was called. My system continues to exhibit dementia, forgetting channels and the last song played on the flash drive. But these occurrences are...

    2014 vs 2015

The features for a car vary from country to country. I held out for a 2015 because Mazda made the back-up camera standard for all trim levels except the most basic. I suggest that you go to the Swedish Mazda site and compare years, tho they may only display the features for the current...
