Tried it out extensively today... The tranny does jerk a bit when you come to a stop from a higher gear (somewhat disconcerting, thought it only does it when it was cold). Seems better if you downshift back to 1st before the car does it for you. Pickup does improve somewhat, since you can hold...

Nice. Not bad with the hood deflector...... Happen to know who makes the deflector? Who's your dealer? Maybe it's a starting point to look for one for the hatchback.

The only thing I can think of, in the next year or two, is that they can sqeeze another 20 hp or so out of the 2.3L... Case in point about 1st year cars: Had a '95 Maxima (1st year of new model), 100K miles. Only regular maintenance, and maybe an oxygen sensor or something.

Lava Orange would be my second choice. Strato Blue is nice too (test drove one), but doesn't stand out as much (if that's what you want).

The hatch is more practical, unless you have a truck or SUV already. Think the 5 door has a more aggressive stance also.

Just filled up today... 27.9 mpg on mostly highway. Automatic w/ ~2500 miles. Tried to keep it under 65 MPH though. Better than when it was brand new, though got about 32 mpg on a trip out of town.
