I just went through same thing.......your PO300 caused the PO421, replace coilpacks, wires and plugs. The cat got ruined when the misfire let unburned fuel get into cat. I still have the light and the PO421 smoked cat......... it runs great ....gets 28 & 33 MPG's . I hated this car for the 1st...

Update Its running as it should at the moment...light came on at 50 miles or so yesterday, never flashed, performance was unaffected. put 30 miles on it with light on.......ran perfect! Stopped to check & clear code and it was the PO421 zone 1.... cleared it...still runs as it should?? Thanks...

Light came back on at 45 miles...it has been running excellent all day, the CEL did not flash, but when it came on this time there was no change at all in its performance. I could really give a **** about the light...as long as it stays running smooth like this. Is there a bulb inside instrument...

last time i cleared the codes....the programmer stated that 6 of 8 parameters have been met so that leaves me thinking okay 2 of 8 are not complete. what are the 8 its looking at?

Went and started it.......idle climbed to 2000 dropped down, in 300 rpm increments down to stall. restart....same thing lite starts flashing again. Turn it off...re start.....flashing light gone. Its runs smooth lite stays on! I am lost.....dont want to replace cat until PO300 is fixed. HELP!!!!!!
