Yes it is a rod bearing Mazda Service said it sounds like a connecting rod bearing. Is it worth to fix or replace whole engine. They said whole engine!

2003/5 125,000 miles. I towed a small uhaul with my stuff and surfboards across country from Florida to Cali two times back and forth. Beattle(my car) got mad at me and she now my connecting rod bearings are shot now! I want to put another engine in myself. Any words of wisdom for doing the job...

2003 protoge5 120,000 miles --always took care of her. Now she is ill loud lower knock. Any possibile answers?

My prot5 2003 has knocking connecting rod bearings--anywhere in florida to find anothere good engine or do u rec that i rebuild mine. my engine is sweet and clean and don't know what happened. Any leads great ballyhoo1@hotmail.com thanks
