    Underhood Liner

It has absorption qualities, so I don't necessarily agree with the redirection theory, but that wouldn't be a bad thing if it did. The farther away the noise is from your ears, the better. I'm thinking about trying it out, but I hoped somewhat had real world experience.

Has anyone tried out B-quiet's underhood liner to help reduce engine noise? http://www.b-quiet.com/hliner.html

Well the 03 Protege 5 is gone...

Do yourself a favor and get over to www.miataforum.com. More info than you could ever wish for, and very few pissing contests. Moss has some good products, but you'll quickly find that there are much better options out there when it comes to modifying your Miata. Most vendors specialize in one...

    Oil (Synthetic?)

You might find this article interesting, though the Mazda filter featured is not the newer one they've started using. The new one reportedly has better filtration. http://mymiata.paladinmicro.com/MiataOFilters.htm

    Oil (Synthetic?)

The Napa Gold filter in that test went for 12k miles. I wouldn't want to get anywhere near that mileage in my own cars, but that's because I have more peace of mind by following the maintenance schedule. I religiously change with Mobil 1 synthetic and an OEM filter every 5k miles, but I...

    Oil (Synthetic?)

Those results don't surprise me at all. Interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

    Oil (Synthetic?)

There are a lot of myths out there about car maintenance and this is definitely one of them. Oil and filter should be changed at the interval recommended by the manufacturer. That's every 5k or 7.5k miles for the Protege5 depending on what kind of driving you do, and that is assuming you use...

Where to find R-Package Front Lip

As you probably know, the Rat's Back is highly sought after since they didn't make them for very long. If you're getting a decent deal on a used one, you could probably sell it for a profit if you decide you don't want it.

Where to find R-Package Front Lip

Rat's Back closed their doors a while ago. You might have a hard time finding one of those. It's my understanding that the R package lips are also being discontinued, so I wouldn't wait too long if I were you.

    My newly covered seats

Vinyl is noticeably hotter than leather because it doesn't breathe the way leather does. Having had red vinyl seats in my 76 Fiat Spider back in high school, I will never got back to vinyl. The red leather in my Miata is much cooler, though they still heat up some if I park directly in the sun.

    My newly covered seats

They look nice, but why did you opt for vinyl instead of leather? I know the lack of maintenance is a nice feature and the newer vinyls look and feel more similar to leather, but vinyl doesn't breathe the same way leather does and those things will be scorching in the summer if it ever gets hot...

    New armest mod?

I've thought about extending it forward, but if you go too far then it becomes difficult to use the latch. I personally haven't noticed a problem with the placement, but find that it's just too low.

    New armest mod?

No you couldn't do it yourself. You simply remove the armrest part from your center console and ship it to me. I convert it and ship it back. No modifications would need to be made by you.

    New armest mod?

Yes, it's permanent. This is not any kind of stick-on pad. It's a complete conversion.
