    Whoops! Thanks for pointing that out -- I'll fix it now. You're right about the hotspots -- they are on either side behind the gas/temperature gauge and the tach. In order to fix this I need to find those plastic condoms to fit over the LEDs, but the bulbs are a very strange shape so I'm not...

    Okay so it sounds exactly the same as mine, which is good. I'm going to order the blue LEDs from superbrightleds.com right now! Edit: How many bulbs did you need to do the cluster? And what about the 2 large bulbs?

    I've just taken apart the cluster from my '00 Protege LX and the back of the gauge faces are coloured, the bulbs are all white! Phoenix was your car the same? Did you just use all blue LEDs or what?
