I checked the cap and it was VERY loose. Tightened it back up and the light is still on. I talked to my mechanic today and he said it may go out in a couple hundred miles after the computer resets or it may need to be reset (the memory or whatever).

I have a 2006 Mazda 6i 4cyl with about 72k miles on it. I've had a few little issues with the ECU needing to be reset for windows not rolling up and funky transmission shifting in the past. Today though, for the first time since I bought it new (3/06), the check engine light came on. Any ideas?
