Agreed. I also think this was the correct decision. IMO the MPI is a very good option for engine management in the Protege. One of the parts I never had any problems with when I owned the car.

Get some speedbleeders. Makes bleeding the brakes 100x easier (you can do it without another person). Might as well do the SS corksport brake and clutch lines while you are at it.

You can get either long or short box. I didn't like the looks of the short box. I got the 4WD V6 Automatic (for towing ease and so my GF can drive it:) )
