    225/40/18's?

Any autocrossers out there? I'm considering a MS3 to replace my MSP, but I'm concerned about tires. Looks like I can get V700's in 225/40/18, but nothing in 215/45/18 or 215/40/18. Any idea if 225/40/18's will fit??? I have 225/45/17 V700's on my MSP now, and they rub the fenders in the back...

    E85 Ethanol Gas

That's a big if. I don't think our ECU will adjust that much.

    Msp Ftw

Just wanted to post that despite the consideration for a bump down to GS, I'm currently winning DS class Autocross in the Twin Cities. My only mods are the sunroof and Victoracers. I've been getting spanked for years by the Type-Rs in the class on R-compounds, so I finally stepped up to the...

    Lambo spotted in Woodbury

I see a lambo of some sort on my commute almost every day, 394 between wayzata and long lake around 9am. I wonder if he's the guy I always saw driving an STi during the winter, in a suit.

    MSP Racing Hart weights?

215/45/17 is stock, are you running 18's? Not sure which size is on sale, but I think 225/45/17 rubs a bit when the steering wheel is fully rotated. I'd think 225/40 would be ideal, but I haven't seen any decent tires in that size. I'm going to get some 225/45/17 victo's for autox, but I don't...

    MSP Racing Hart weights?

lol, yeah they were supposed to be the "compromise tire", but weren't much of a compromise. I'll probably go to something with a higher treadwear when these die, but I'll miss them even on the street. The goodyear F1's sound pretty sweet at $90ea, maybe I should buy some and store them for when...

    autocross shocks?

no leaks, I just feel like the suspension is a bit looser than it was 50,000 miles ago. maybe I've just built up "suspension tolerance". =] Thanks for the info.

    autocross shocks?

so, apparently shocks are free in stock class, as long as they attach in the same place and are within 1" in length. Are there other shocks that would be the same size but stiffer?

    MSP Racing Hart weights?

If you're using these on the track, go for the victoracers! I have the MX's, and they're wonderful as a compromise, but I commute a long way, and ended up having to replace the fronts in the middle of last season. Why did I compromise? Now I'm just going to buy a set of lighter wheels and...

    16x8 Rota slipstreams are here!

I'd love detailed pics and description on this, as what I've been told was that we couldn't get much negative camber on our cars. Is this a result of the coilovers, or something we can do in stock class? I'm still looking for a shop locally that can do a decent autox alignment... *sigh*

    autocross shocks?

ok, next question, should it be about that time at 50k? I have some twisties on my commute, so maybe they're wearing faster than usual, but I'm not really sure how long struts are supposed to last. Thanks for your help. =]

    autocross shocks?

well, I've hit 50,000 miles, and I think my shocks could use some updating. Any recommendations for shocks that would be stock-legal in autocross, and might perform a bit better? Thanks!

    anybody out there?..

Hey, you're back! Thinking about autocrossing this year? I guess we didn't get moved down into GS, but the unichip will only be DSP, instead of SM, so I'm thinking of going that route... I'm guessing your hood will still be mod, but SI or X is still fun! =]

    SELL MSP or UPGRADE

If you're winning in DS, either you're a very good driver, or your competition sucks. Type-Rs and 330ci's and WRXs and SRT4s even should all beat you relatively consistently given equal drivers. There's a reason the MSP is being moved to GS.

    Test Drive: MS6 vs. STi

They're about the same price, actually the STi is quite a bit more expensive than the MS6. I agree about the refinement, but they weren't as far off performance-wise as something like a TSX.

    Test Drive: MS6 vs. STi

So, I did some test driving last night, and here's my review. I'd like to preface with a note that these are my opinions only, and I like a particular kind of car. I've driven a lot of very light wind-up-toy type cars, and I like them. I have a Mazdaspeed Protege that for the most part I love...

Gee, thanks. Usually it's going from Neutral to 2nd (like 1st - N pause - 2nd) that's the most trouble.

    shifting issues

That's what it feels like to me. The dealer told me if it was the synchros I'd have problems every shift, not intermittently, but I don't know enough about transmissions to verify this. ?

    shifting issues

So, wondering what you guys might think... I have a problem getting my shifter into gear, maybe once or twice a week. It's not a biiiig deal, just can't get it in for a couple seconds, then I try again, and I'm good. But it's really annoying, and really embarrassing when I'm in the middle of an...
