I've read up on a few of these other "cars not starting" threads, but am unsure of what the issue might be with mine. The car has a good battery, interior electronics on fine, but when turning the ignition I only get a "click" sound. Not sure if it's the starter or some other mechanism causing...

^Exactly what I did and now it's back to normal. Thanks everyone for the info, the car sounds great (by not sounding at all).

Pedal seems soft and travels further. Braking seems fine when you get down on it, but I only took it for a low speed test drive (25mph).

Got pads changed out and no more squeak! But the brakes feel soft now, is that normal?

A caliper seize would prevent the wheels from spinning freely right? When I rotate them on both sides, I hear a bit of resistance but the wheel still rotates. The pad replacement looks easier than I thought, any recommended pads?

So I just pulled the wheel and I have about 3-4mm of pad left on the outside, but the inside looks a lot thinner. Plus there is a metal tab which is pressed up on the rotor, which I'm guessing is the prong? The rotors have hardly any wear on them so it looks like I'll have to change the pads...

I'm not sure about the pad wear, would I need a micrometer to check or can I eyeball it? Also, would the prong be rubbing at almost all times? I guess that's one way to make owner's aware of needing a brake job, albeit an annoying one.

I'll have to check that out tonight. Did something hit it to cause it to rub?

That's a good idea about the insurance. I will look into that. Is that PIAA setup wired to the original wiring or does it require it's own wiring and switch inside the cabin?

Trying to find a replacement fog light and don't think the $150 price to be a good value. Anyone know of a place (online or in seattle area) to get them for cheaper? I've checked ebay and may go that route if nothing's cheaper. Replacing the whole housing just for a cracked lens sucks.
