    Frequent Engine Light

How recently have you filled the tank with gas when you notice the CEL coming on? When I first got my 3, the CEL would come on intermittently, then go off after a couple days. I went to Autozone, they told me the error code. It turns out that the fuel system is really sensitive to pressure loss...

Ergonomics is 100% subjective. Some like "ergonomic" keyboards, others stick with standards... For this reason, I'll never agree that Nikon is more "ergonomic" than Canon, just different. What it really boils down to is what feel best to each individual user. Build materials, though, I will...

It's actually only 1 tripod, and a pano-head, and a few other attachments. The only things I have that are medium format are my Holgas. I shoot with my 50mm the most, and my 17-40L second, I keep a 200mm and a 28-135 IS in my bag just in case I need them. I disagree that Nikons have better...

That's about the same price for the Rebel XTi, which is the 10 megapixel Canon equivalent to the D40. My camera is the 5D, which is $2,500 for the body, then I have around $2,000 in lenses, $2,000 in strobes, $1,000 in on-camera flashes, $1,200 in tripods, etc etc...I have probably $12k in...

The only reason I mentioned Ritz/Wolf is because I used to work for them, and several of my pro buddies worked for them as well...it's a good place to get a part time job so you can pull some product discounts and get in with the manufacturer reps. A privately owned camera store is the best bet...

Almost any kind of SLR will have the ability to use a cable release and a bulb mode (bulb just means the shutter stays open for as long as you push the button down on the cable release). An SLR is the kind of camera you can remove and switch lenses on. If you're sticking with digital: The Nikon...

    Wheel well clunk

Well, on the AZMC forum they seem to think it's a loose strut or lug nut. If it's not something loose, they think it could be the strut bearing. I have no idea how to check for that kinda thing, I'm strictly a light-maintenance kinda guy.

    Wheel well clunk

OK, from the first day I had this car (3,000 miles from dealership courtesy use) it's done this little noise. When I'm making a 90-degree right turn, and go over a bump like a drainage gutter or similar small-yet-sharp bump, I hear this ka-thunk in the driver side front wheel well. I do not get...

Thanks! Yeah, it's really relaxing and sorta creepy at the same time hanging out in these ghost towns. Sometimes they have a minimal population still living there, other times like with the shots of Vulture above, there are only a couple caretakers to keep the idiots out. Most of the Arizona...

    Any photographers in here?

Well, looking through more of this thread, I see the shots are not all car-related and such, so I'll put up my most recent ghost town shots, these are from Vulture Mine, near Wickenburg Arizona. Here's the main gallery. (meaning there's more shots to see at this link)

I actually dont read Strobist on any regular basis, but it has good information. Thanks for the welcome. When I do some shots worth posting, I'll put them up...I just didnt think pics of old ghost towns or naked 50 year old cancer survivors would really fit in a car forum ;) There's actually a...

    Any photographers in here?

Well, I'm new to this forum, and I'm not going to read through 154 pages of posts... But, I'm a professional photographer. Mostly I do fine art nudes and ghost towns, but I've been known to shoot editorial and commercial as well. In case anyone cares, I shoot a Canon 5D, and I always have the...

    The MOTORCYCLE thread!

I envy your tribal plastics...I went with all black, didnt want to pay the 2k extra the dealers here wanted for the tribal. The only mods I have is the FE and a dark smoke double bubble windscreen.
