    Took the CX-7 to the track - not bad...

    The brakes were great the first few times and slowly went away. The oddest part of taking the CX on track was being able to see OVER the pit wall concrete barrier and into the pit lane. In my race car, the seat is bolted to the floor so the pit wall seems really tall. lol...gas mileage always...

    We bought our '08 Sport in December 2007 for $20K, not including TT&L. With the '09's, you should be able to get a screaming deal on an '08.

    "Carpet" already worn 3000 miles.

    Hmmm...the floor mat in my CX-7 covers that area. The only area not covered by the mat is a small area directly behind the gas pedal, which I can't touch with my foot. Sounds like the '08 model may be different in this area.

    "Carpet" already worn 3000 miles.

    Did Mazda redesign this area for 2008? I have an '08 CX-7 and the floor mat covers where my heel goes. There is carpet directly behind the gas pedal but not below it, and I can't touch any part of the carpet without radically bending my foot. Where exactly is the carpet that is wearing out?
