reply to JoshP5 I know what you mean by it doesn't mean Mazda will replace it for free. It's only when the real problem with your car is the EGR valve. They changed mine this morning for free and I had any garanty left. This is real, not a joke ah!

Good news for everyone who have or will have a problem with EGR valve! There's a service bulletin for that part on protege5 2002. Go to a mazda dealer and if the problem on your car is the EGR valve, they change the part for 0$$$$$! Of course, if you don't have a problem with your EGR valve...
