    Okay. I got my hands on a Windows XP laptop. Installed the drivers and R4 software. Put the keys in the ON position, but not started. Connected to the AFC then Computer then opened the R4 software, AND still got that same error when connecting to the ecu threw the correct COM port. I again...

    Hmmm not that I know of, maybe my friends dell has it. It would have to be a pretty old laptop to have a serial connector pysically on it.

    So i bought two new serial to usb cables. Ones a Belkin and the other is IOGear. Tried both and still got the same error. So it wasn't the cable. Tonight i will borrowing mt friends dell. I will install all the drivers and the R4 software. And see if it will work. Any more help will be great...

    No its not an emulator. I have my HD partitioned so about 3/4 are set to mac OS and the last 1/4 to XP. So basically when you start my computer you can either choose Mac or XP, and choosing XP will boot into Windows just like any windows computer.

    Update: So ive got the sensor side of the o2 (pin 60) re soldered. After connecting everything back up. The car starts up and seems to idle fine. No problems but is still giving me that CEL. Also i tried what low_psi. I did it in that order, first the serial then the usb to computer then open...

    Thats what i thought, and its not a virtualization of xp on my mac while running leopard, Its totally independent from mac.

    Yes i installed all the drivers that came with the software, Im on a mac but i have i also XP installed on my computer threw boot camp, so i use that. And i dont have any background program running.

    oops didn't see that, Yes the Car will start. I tried all the com port then when looking in CP->system->hardware->and the serial to usb thingy, It was com3 right on it.
